Multi Share
Let participants share up to two screens, windows, or browser tabs — all collected in one place for the moderator to display on the Stage.

What Multi Share is
Multi Share is the central place where all participant sharing streams appear. Every participant can share up to two screens, windows, or browser tabs. These streams are collected in the Multi Share list, where the moderator selects which ones to show on the Stage — usually through Multi View.
When to use Multi Share
- When multiple participants need to share content at the same time.
- When you want to avoid screen‑sharing handovers.
- When you need a structured way to collect all shared content in one place.
- When you want to display up to four participant streams simultaneously using Multi View.
- When you want to keep the meeting flow fast and interruption‑free
How participants start sharing
Every participant has a Start Screen Sharing button in the StageTools top menu bar.
- Click Start Screen Sharing.
- Select up to two screens, windows, or browser tabs.
- Both streams appear instantly in the moderator’s Multi Share list.
- Participants can stop sharing at any time.
Participants do not control what appears on the Stage — they only provide streams. The moderator decides what becomes visible.

How the moderator uses Multi Share
- Open StageTools in your Teams meeting.
- Click Multi Share on the Stage.
- All participant streams appear in a list.
- Each participant can contribute up to two streams.
Show streams on the Stage
Multi Share collects all participant streams, but it does not display anything by itself. To show a participant’s stream on the Stage, you use Multi View. Multi View controls how many contents are shown at the same time and what each content slot displays.
How it works
- Choose on Multi view how many content screens you want to show (2‑up, 3‑up, or 4‑up).
- For each screen, click the content selector.
- Choose what should appear in that screen:
- a Document
- a Screenshot
- a Multi Share stream
- If you select Multi Share, a window opens showing all participant streams.
- Choose the stream you want to display in that specific screen.
- The selected stream appears instantly on the Stage for everyone.
Each content screen can show a different participant stream, and you can freely mix streams with documents or screenshots. You can change the content of any screen at any time.

How Multi Share works with other modules
- Multi View — Displays up to four participant streams simultaneously.
- Multi Annotate — Draw or highlight directly on any shared stream.
- Multi Capture — Capture any stream in full resolution. Captures appear in the Screenshot library and can be added to any Note, Task, or Decision.
- Follow‑Me Moderation — Ensures all participants see the same layout and stream selection.
Best practices
- Ask participants to start sharing early to avoid delays.
- Use Multi View to show only the streams relevant to the current discussion.
- Keep the number of visible streams low for clarity (2–3 ideal, 4 maximal).
- Combine with Multi Annotate to guide attention.
- Use Multi Capture to save important frames from participant streams.
- Use Follow‑Me Moderation to keep everyone aligned.
Limits and notes
- Each participant can share up to two streams simultaneously.
- The moderator decides what becomes visible on the Stage.
- Multi Share is a collection layer, not a display layer.
- Multi View is required to show streams on the Stage.
- Only open screens, windows, or tabs can be shared.
- Streams remain active until the participant stops sharing.
Summary
Multi Share collects all participant sharing streams in one place. The moderator selects which streams to show and uses Multi View to display up to four of them simultaneously. This keeps meetings structured, fast, and interruption‑free.
