Multi View

See up to four contents side‑by‑side on the Microsoft Teams Stage — without screen sharing.

What Multi View is

Multi View lets you display up to four windows, documents, apps, or browser tabs side‑by‑side on the Microsoft Teams Stage. Everything stays synchronized and visible to everyone — without sharing your screen.

When to use Multi View

  • Compare two or more contents without switching windows.
  • Review designs, dashboards, prototypes, or documents in parallel.
  • Keep discussions focused by showing all relevant context at once.
  • Avoid screen‑sharing interruptions and context switching.
  • Structure review, planning, or decision meetings more clearly.

How to start Multi View

  1. Open StageTools in your Teams meeting.
  2. Click Multi View in the left sidebar.
  3. Multi View appears instantly on the Stage.
  4. You do not need to share your screen.

Layouts in Multi View

Multi View adapts automatically to the number of contents you add.

  • 1 content: Focus layout
  • 2 contents: 2‑up
  • 3 contents: 3‑up
  • 4 contents: 4‑up grid

Rearrange contents

Drag any content to a new position. Multi View updates the layout automatically, and the new order is visible to everyone.

Remove contents

Click the X in the top corner of a content tile to remove it. The layout adjusts automatically.

How Multi View works with other modules

  • Multi Annotate — Draw, highlight, or point directly on any content.
  • Multi Capture — Capture any content in full resolution. Captures appear in the Screenshot library and can be added to any Note, Task, or Decision.
  • Follow‑Me Moderation — Participants follow your layout changes automatically.

Best practices

  • Use 2‑up for comparisons (e.g., before/after).
  • Use 3‑up for variant reviews.
  • Use 4‑up for dashboards, logs, or monitoring.
  • Keep contents visually simple to avoid overload.
  • Combine Multi View with Multi Annotate to guide discussions.
  • Use Multi Capture to save important moments.

Limits and notes

  • Maximum of four contents at once.
  • Only open windows can be added (no files directly).
  • Contents remain visible even if you close the sidebar.
  • Only the moderator can add or remove contents.
