Notes & Tasks
Capture ideas instantly, turn them into clear actions, and keep all meeting context in one place — lightweight, structured, and always accessible.

What Notes & Tasks are
Notes & Tasks give your meeting a fast, unobtrusive way to capture thoughts, context, and follow‑ups directly in the sidebar. Notes are free‑form and flexible. Tasks add ownership and clarity. Both can include screenshots, captures, and documents — and everything stays connected to the meeting.
Why Notes & Tasks matter

- Keep all context — screenshots, captures, documents — in one place.

- Prepare before, update during, and review after the meeting.
- Avoid losing information in chat threads or personal notebooks.

Turn Notes into Tasks
Any Note can become a Task with a single click. All content — text, screenshots, captures, documents — moves with you automatically.
- Click Convert to Task.
- Add a clear, action‑oriented title.
- Assign an owner.
- Save the Task.
Tasks stay intentionally lightweight: no status fields, no due dates, no workflow overhead — just clear ownership and context.
Create a Task directly
- Click New Task in the Notes & Tasks sidebar.
- Add a title and an owner.
- Add optional context or attachments.
- Save the Task.
Tasks created directly behave exactly like Tasks converted from Notes.
Create a Decision from Notes or Tasks
You can create a Decision directly from any Note or Task. The entire content is automatically copied into the description of the new Decision.
- Click Create Decision on a Note or Task.
- The content becomes the Decision description.
- Add a title and voting options.
- Start the vote when ready.
This creates a seamless flow from discussion → context → decision.
Share meeting context
Notes, Tasks, and Decisions can be shared with anyone through a StageTools link — even outside your organization.
- Each item opens on a dedicated StageTools page.
- All attachments remain visible.
- Perfect for handovers, follow‑ups, and documentation.
